ClearTalk is NOT therapy. ClearTalk is NOT a mental health service. ClearTalk is NOT a licensed counselor, psychologist, psychiatrist, or any kind of medical or mental health professional. The words ClearTalk gives you are NOT medical advice, NOT professional advice, and NOT a substitute for speaking with a real licensed therapist or counselor. If you are in crisis, in danger, or need real help, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency room.
ClearTalk is a communication-assistance tool. It uses artificial intelligence to help users think through difficult emotional situations and find clearer words. That is all it does.
ClearTalk is not:
No user-therapist relationship, user-counselor relationship, or any other professional relationship is created by using ClearTalk — ever, under any circumstances.
You must be at least 18 years old to use ClearTalk. By using this service, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, please do not use this service.
By using ClearTalk, you agree that:
ClearTalk is provided "as is." We do not promise, guarantee, or warrant that:
Results will vary from person to person. Communication is complex. We are a tool, not a miracle.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ClearTalk, its owners, operators, developers, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any of the following, regardless of how they arise:
Our total liability to you, for any reason whatsoever, shall not exceed the amount you paid to ClearTalk in the 30 days before the event giving rise to the claim — or $10.00 USD, whichever is less.
This limitation applies even if we have been told such damages might happen. Some states or countries do not allow limitation of liability — in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, protect, and hold harmless ClearTalk and its owners from any claims, lawsuits, losses, or costs (including legal fees) that arise from:
ClearTalk offers 2 free sessions. After that, sessions are available for purchase at the stated price. Payments are processed securely by Stripe — a third-party payment processor. By purchasing, you agree to Stripe's own terms of service.
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for completed AI sessions because the service is delivered instantly and digitally. If you experienced a technical failure that prevented your session from completing, contact us and we will review it.
ClearTalk uses AI technology provided by Anthropic (Claude). The AI is not a person. It does not know you. It is generating responses based on patterns in language. It can be wrong, imperfect, or unhelpful. Always use your own judgment.
We may update these Terms at any time. If we make big changes, we will note the new date at the top of this page. Your continued use of ClearTalk after changes means you accept the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be handled through binding individual arbitration — not class-action lawsuits — to the maximum extent permitted by law. You waive your right to participate in a class-action lawsuit related to ClearTalk.
If you have questions about these Terms, please reach out through the ClearTalk website. We will do our best to respond.
The words and descriptions you enter into ClearTalk sessions are sent to Anthropic's AI (Claude) to generate a response. We do not store, read, log, or save your session content on our servers. Once the response is delivered, we do not retain what you wrote. Your session content is stored only in your own browser's local storage on your device — and only you can access it.
We count the total number of sessions processed (not who used them, just the number). This helps us understand if the service is working and estimate costs. This data contains no personal information.
We do not handle or store your credit card or payment information. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. When you pay, Stripe collects your payment details according to their own privacy policy. We only receive confirmation that a payment was completed.
The only purpose of sending your session text to our server is to get an AI response back to you. We do not:
ClearTalk saves your session history and usage count on your device using your browser's "local storage." This is like a small notepad that lives only on your phone or computer — it is not sent to us. You can clear it at any time by clicking "Clear all history" inside the app, or by clearing your browser's storage in your device settings.
ClearTalk uses the following third-party services:
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. Please review their policies separately.
Session content is transmitted to our server using encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not store it. Your history is saved only on your own device. We take reasonable steps to keep the service secure, but no internet service can guarantee perfect security.
ClearTalk is not for people under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has used this service, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Because we do not collect personal data tied to your identity, there is very little data about "you" for us to delete or share. However:
If we change how we handle data in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of ClearTalk after changes means you accept the updated policy.
If you have privacy questions or concerns, please reach out through the ClearTalk website. We take privacy seriously and will respond as quickly as we can.
